Willie doesn’t come to Rock Steady Boxing because he’s training for a heavyweight title. He comes because he’s giving Parkinson’s a run for its money.

For Willie, every class is a commitment to keep moving. What started as an exercise program has become something much bigger: a community, a source of confidence, and a place where determination shows up again and again. The punches matter. The drills matter. But the real victory is showing up and refusing to let Parkinson’s define the next chapter.

Parkinson’s may have changed the fight, but for Willie, it doesn’t get the final round!

Finally boating and fishing season! We were the first trip of the year for Bear Boating again this year. We are always excited to get on the water.

 Celebrity Bingo Meet and Greet with the one and only Paul Krause,retired Vikings player. He was their Defensive Back from 1968-79 and a 4 time Super Bowler. He still holds the record for most interceptions in the NFL, 81!! Our residents had a blast and they also got some autographed souvenirs too.

We had a great turnout for our bowling activity yesterday, our residents truly enjoy it! We make sure that everyone is able to participate and adapt it to everyone’s needs. Love seeing the smiles on their faces when they knock down the pins.

Teachers make up many of our residents. What makes it special is how they bring the same patience and understanding they once used in the classroom into everyday life here. So, while they may not have a lesson plan anymore… they’re still shaping the room, building connections, and making people feel seen.
