Union General Pulmonology Associates proudly observes Pulmonary Fibrosis Awareness Month, a time dedicated to increasing understanding of this serious and often under recognized lung disease.

Pulmonary fibrosis causes progressive scarring of lung tissue, making it difficult for patients to breathe and live life fully. Early detection, education, and support are essential to helping individuals receive timely care and improving long term outcomes.

Throughout this month, we reaffirm our commitment to:
• Raising awareness about the symptoms and risk factors of pulmonary fibrosis.
• Providing compassionate, expert care for those living with chronic lung disease.
• Supporting patients and families through multidisciplinary treatment and community resources.
• Promoting early screening for individuals with persistent shortness of breath, chronic cough, or family history of interstitial lung disease.

Pulmonary fibrosis affects tens of thousands of individuals across the country each year, and together, through education and advocacy, we can make a meaningful difference.

If you or a loved one has concerns about lung health, our team is here to help.

April is Sarcoidosis Awareness Month

At Union General Pulmonology Associates, we stand with those living with sarcoidosis and remain committed to supporting our patients, families, and community.

What is Sarcoidosis?
Sarcoidosis is a rare inflammatory disease in which the body develops tiny clusters of immune cells, called granulomas that form in different organs. These granulomas most commonly affect the lungs and lymph nodes, but they can appear anywhere in the body.

When too many granulomas form, they can interfere with how an organ works, leading to a wide range of symptoms such as shortness of breath, fatigue, persistent cough, or unexplained swelling.

We’re Here to Help -

Our Pulmonology Team is dedicated to:
• Increasing community awareness
• Helping individuals recognize early signs and symptoms
• Providing expert evaluation, diagnosis, and ongoing care
• Supporting patients and families through every step of their journey

Sarcoidosis may be complex, but no one has to face it alone. Union General Pulmonology Associates is here to support you with compassion, knowledge, and the care you deserve.
