🌙🔥 INTRODUCING: THE MODERN CRONE
An ongoing series from Journey with Vera
They called her a witch.
But who told her story?
Who remembers the women who knew the plants, tended the sick, supported women through childbirth, gathered the community, and passed their wisdom down through generations?
Who remembers the stories that were whispered, the traditions that faded, and the knowledge that never quite disappeared?
And what happens when a woman reaches a point in her life where she stops being afraid of the questions?
I believe there is something powerful about looking back—not to romanticize the past, but to understand it. To explore the women behind the legends, the history behind the fear, the healing traditions of our ancestors, and the wisdom nature continues to offer us.
And perhaps, along the way, to rediscover parts of ourselves we were never encouraged to explore.
This is a space for history and mystery. For ancient traditions and modern questions. For the curious, the seekers, the wild-hearted, and the women who know there is more to wisdom than what can be written in a textbook.
We are not here to believe everything blindly.
We are here to question, explore, remember, and reclaim what is worth carrying forward.
🌿 Welcome to The Modern Crone.
Every Wednesday, let’s open another door.
Tell me: what does the word witch mean to you today?
I’d love to hear your thoughts. 🌙
