Today is World Heart Day! Mountain Home Health is proud to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease (CVD) and encourage communities to advocate for heart health.

According to the World Heart Federation, CVD kills over 20.5 million people each year. However, 80% of premature deaths from CVD can be prevented by simple changes to diet, exercise, and stress management.

This year's theme for World Heart Day is "Don't Miss a Beat," an initiative to highlight the importance of recognizing signs and symptoms of CVD.

"Since the first day I met my Aveanna team, I have felt like I am number one," Sandy shared. "I'm getting better, I feel encouraged, and they teach me things and meet me where I am. You can so easily feel down with your injuries, but Aveanna brings me that hope."
