OKIE GLOW IS SET UP & READY! 🇺🇸

Good morning!

Come see me at the Blanchard Farmers Market.

There’s something pretty dang satisfying about standing back and looking at this setup. What started with me making simple, small-batch products has turned into a table full of things I’m genuinely proud to put the Okie Glow name on.

Tallow skincare, handmade soaps, natural deodorant, tooth powder, body scents, Happy Hiney, Dude Butter, magnesium spray, bug spray and a whole lot more—all made by hand, in small batches, right here in Oklahoma.

No giant factory. No assembly line. Just me, a bunch of ingredients, a little experimenting, a lot of late nights, and occasionally wondering why I thought making another product was a good idea. 😂

But I love doing it.

🌿 OKIE GLOW DEODORANT — THE PIVOT

Sometimes you make a product, test it in the real world, listen to the feedback, and realize…

The formula is right. The package isn’t.

That’s exactly what happened with my Okie Glow Tallow Deodorant.

I originally planned on a traditional deodorant container. But after using it myself and getting some reviews back, I realized this isn’t really a stick.

It’s a tallow deodorant BALM.

So I pivoted.

Same formula. Same ingredients. New tin.

The tin gives you better control over how much you use and helps keep softened deodorant from trying to escape out the bottom of the container. 😂

And trust me…

A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY.

Take a small swipe with two fingers, rub a thin layer completely into your underarms, let it absorb, and go.

Think moisturizer—not frosting a cupcake. 😂

And ladies… we need to talk about something nobody puts in the fancy deodorant commercials.

SWOOBS. 😂

Yep. Sweaty b***s.

A tiny amount rubbed into the external under-breast/chest area can help with odor there too. Small amount, rub it in well, and let it absorb. That also helps minimize oily transfer onto your bra, shirt, or bedding.

Small disclaimer for the gentlemen: Some of us may actually appreciate the natural “swoobie” smell. 😂 Sorry, fellas. This one’s about keeping her fresh and comfortable. Her comfort wins.

🌿 ONE TALLOW BASE. THREE PERSONALITIES. YOU PICK THE ONE THAT SMELLS BEST TO YOU.

Something I want people to know about my Okie Glow Face & Body Tallow Blends:

They all start in the same place — Happy Hiney.

I don’t make a “women’s moisturizer,” a “men’s moisturizer,” and then some completely different face cream. My tallow blends are made from the same Happy Hiney-based batch I’ve developed for gentle skin care.

From there, I customize the blends with essential oils to create the different scents.

So when you’re deciding which one to buy, don’t overthink it.

Pick the one that smells best to YOU.

The same basic tallow blend can be used on your face, hands, elbows, knees, feet and body.

And here’s the trick to getting the most out of it:

💧 Tallow helps seal in hydration — so give it some hydration to seal in.

Wash your skin with soap and water, gently pat it dry while leaving it slightly damp, then massage in a small amount of tallow.

That’s it.

Wash → Pat Dry → Apply → Seal in Hydration.

Use it after washing your face.
Use it after a shower.
Use it on hardworking hands.
Use it on rough elbows.
Use it on dry feet.

Men or women—it doesn’t matter. Choose the scent you like and use it wherever your skin needs it.

The shop smells AMAZING today. 💜🌿

I’ve been whipping up a brand-new batch of Happy Hiney all day, but this one is different.

This batch represents a real step forward in the quality of Happy Hiney.

Before I ever started whipping it, I slowly infused the tallow with real lavender and chamomile buds for 10 HOURS. I wanted those botanicals infused directly into the foundation of the product instead of simply adding something at the end.

Then I took that infused tallow and made Happy Hiney the way I always do — with tallow, beeswax, castor oil, coconut oil, jojoba, arrowroot, non-nano zinc oxide, and rosehip oil.

Same Happy Hiney I believe in.

Just taken another step forward.

That’s one thing about Okie Glow: I’m never interested in making something one time and saying, “Well, that’s good enough.”

If I figure out a way to improve the process, improve the ingredients, or put a little more time and care into what goes in that jar, I’m going to do it.

Ten hours of lavender and chamomile infusion takes longer.

It takes more work.

And I’m perfectly okay with that.

Because when somebody spends their money on something I made with my own two hands, I want to know I gave them the best product I know how to make.

And judging by the smell in this shop right now… 😂

Lavender and chamomile definitely showed up for work today.

🧈 HOW TO USE DUDE BUTTER & LADY’S BUTTER

Same great formula. Same simple job. Season. Protect. Restore. Whether you grabbed Dude Butter or Lady’s Butter, using it is easy—and a little goes a LONG way.

🔥 BLACKSTONE & CAST IRON
Start with a clean, dry surface. Apply a small amount of butter and spread it into a very thin, even layer with a cloth or paper towel. Warm the surface so the butter can work into it, then wipe away any excess. You’re looking for a thin protective layer—not frosting a birthday cake. 😂

🪵 BUTCHER BLOCKS, CUTTING BOARDS & WOOD UTENSILS
Clean and completely dry the wood. Rub in a small amount, working with the grain. Give it time to soak in, then buff away anything left on the surface. It helps condition the wood and brings that natural grain back to life.

🥾 LEATHER
Test a small hidden area first because natural conditioners can darken some leather. Apply a tiny amount with a soft cloth, rub it in evenly, let it absorb, then buff.

🪑 WOOD FURNITURE & OTHER WOOD SURFACES
Same deal—clean, apply, let it work, then buff. Always test an inconspicuous spot first, especially on finished or antique pieces.

That’s it. No complicated routine. A little dab’ll do ya.
