Happy 4th of July from all of us at Serenity Pediatrics! 🇺🇸 In observance of Independence Day, our office will be closed on Saturday, July 4th.

As always, your child’s health remains our priority. Our After Hours Emergency Line will remain available, and one of our physicians is on call to answer urgent medical questions if needed.

🚨 RECALL ALERT 🚨

Serenity Pediatrics would like to make families aware of an important voluntary recall involving certain Target Up & Up® Baby Wipes.

Affected products include: Up & Up Fragrance Free Baby Wipes and Up & Up Fresh Cucumber Scented Baby Wipes

These products have been recalled due to possible contamination with bacteria (Burkholderia cepacia complex and Burkholderia gladioli) which may pose a risk, especially to infants, young children, and those with weakened immune systems.

If you have these wipes at home:

Stop using them immediately. Return them to any Target store for a full refund. Contact Serenity Pediatrics if your child develops skin irritation or any signs of infection.

Tick season is in full swing, and here at Serenity Pediatrics we are seeing a significant increase in tick bites over the last few weeks across our area.

With Michigan experiencing a very high tick population this spring and summer, we encourage families to take extra precautions anytime children are outdoors, especially in grassy, wooded, or park areas.

- DEET is approved for children 2 months and older

- At minimum, spray DEET on legs, socks, shoes, and ankles before outdoor activities

- Wear light-colored clothing when possible

- Perform full body tick checks after being outside
