Start taking Zyrtec, Claritin, Xyzal, Allegra (whichever one works for you/your child). Pataday eye drops for the itchy eyes (keep in fridge for the cooling effect). For those prone to asthma exacerbations and wheezing, start your inhalers at the first sign of coughing. Shower including a hair wash before bed to rid of all the pollen that sticks on the body and hair during the day. Saline nasal washes.
These simplest steps can save you an urgent care or ER trip.
