Which one of these handsome Blooming Prairie, MN locals is going to get a "Pie-in-the-Face" the day of our Heritage & Harvest Festival on September 26th? 🍁🌻🍂🤠 The choice is YOURS!! Voting will take place soon via money jars at a Blooming Prairie Business near you! Nominees are Joseph Mason (Prairie Manor Administrator), Brady Holmberg (Vandal's Family Market owner), Greg Skillestad (Blooming Prairie Chief of Police) and Chris Staloch (Superintendent of Blooming Prairie Schools). Whoever brings in the most 💲💵💰for our facility room renovations is the lucky winner!

Voting is taking place via money jars at local businesses, including Vandal's Family Market, BP Nutition, Pizza Cellar, B to Z Hardware, and BP Tavern. • Register for the Car/Truck Show! 🚗🛻 50/50 Cash Prize to the Car voted in for the People’s Choice Award! Sponsor the show for an amount above the 50/50!
• Come play BINGO at the Servicemen’s Club for a 50/50 cash prize with every game!
• Vote for a local nominee to get a Pie-in-the-Face on the day of the event. Jars will be displayed around town for 6 weeks. Our nominees are: Joe Mason (Prairie Manor Administrator), Greg Skillestad (Blooming Prairie Police Chief), Brady Holmsted (Vandal’s Family Market Owner), and ?? (Contact Deb Brown for the 4th Nominee by Monday!) May the most deserving local win!

Friday was Garden Day, where the staff dressed in their garden party favorites, or dressed as gardeners! We had a spring fashion show in the courtyard and many lovely fashions were modeled! Then we had "plant bingo" in the afternoon. There were so many fun plants to choose from! Each resident that played won a plant (or opted out for $1)! The kitchen served "dirt dessert" complete with the "worms"!

Thursday was Hollywood/Glamour Day... and we had THE best DJ.. Aikong Cody See, for our Entertainment pleasure! The kitchen served a variety of dips on crackers and macaroons... and oh, those ladies and their (ahem... candy) ci******es! There was a whole lot of shakin' going on out on the dance floor!!

Wednesday was Agriculture Day here at Prairie Manor. We had a Barnyard Bash/Crop Party! Garrett brought in a couple of tractors, the Skalas brought a calf, Jackie brought a couple of goats and the Browns brought a rabbit. The residents loved the animals! Some of us also got some "corney tattoos" to commemorate the occasion!! The kitchen served "Pigs in a blanket for snack, and we played a game of "Herd the Sheep". So fun!!

We're continuing to take a look back on Skilled Nursing Care Week in a few more posts! Tuesday we took a trip to Hawaii complete with the flight announcements over the intercom. Hannah presented residents with an "Aloha" and a Leigh, followed by a presentation about Hawaii! Tim (the Dog Man) made us some Pineapple and some Banana Upside Cake... and even the pups got into the theme!

We had a Luau in the afternoon, with tropical drinks from the Happy Hour cart, and Hannah taught us how to hula! ALOHA!
