Our thoughts and emotions can look like waves. They come, and they go. While some attempt to linger longer than others, ultimately we can learn to control them. Try taking a mindful moment this week. Close your eyes and steady your breathing. Imagine that the thoughts and feelings that come up are simply waves. Watch them rise and recede. Keep your breath steady and ground yourself on positive thoughts and images in return.
