Congratulations to the Minnesota Acupuncture Association and Dr. Nick Dougherty, Vice Chair of the NCBAHM Board of Commissioners, on the passage of Minnesota House Bill 1270, recently signed into law by Governor Tim Walz.
This landmark legislation modernizes and expands Minnesota's licensing and practice standards for acupuncture and herbal medicine—strengthening the profession's regulatory framework and helping ensure continued access to high-quality patient care. It also marks a historic milestone as the first law to officially recognize our new name: the National Certification Board for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (NCBAHM).
