π ONE YEAR OF THE HOPE OASIS LLC! π
One year in business. π₯Ήπ And honestly, my heart is just so full!
This past weekend, I had the joy of returning to the Down Syndrome Buddy Walk, where I originally launched The Hope Oasis LLC one year ago!
The first time I attended, I was SO nervous. I was just starting out, trying to figure everything out, and hoping that this dream God had placed on my heart would grow into something meaningful.
This time, I got to come back with a year of experience as a business owner, introduce myself to more people, share what I do, and connect with the amazing families and organizations in our community. It felt so good to come full circle! ππ
But let's talk about WHY I started The Hope Oasis in the first place.
Before opening my business, I spent five years working with individuals on the autism spectrum, including experience in ABA.
During that time, I heard parents express something that really stuck with me. They wanted a break. They wanted to run errands, spend time with their spouse, or simply take a breath without worrying about their loved one.
But finding someone they trusted wasn't always easy.
They didn't want to hire just anyone. They wanted someone with experience, someone who understood their loved one's needs, and someone they could count on to show up and provide consistent care.
I saw a need, and I wanted to help fill it. β€οΈ
That's the heart behind The Hope Oasis LLC.
I provide in-home, non-medical respite care for families caring for neurodivergent children, teens, and adults living at home. Whether we're doing crafts, playing games, enjoying an outing, working on everyday activities, or simply spending time together, my goal is to provide compassionate support while giving caregivers the opportunity to recharge.
Because caregivers are people, too. They need rest, connection, time for themselves, and the freedom to take care of their own needs without feeling guilty.
And their loved ones deserve someone who sees them as individuals, respects who they are, and enjoys spending time with them. π
Looking back on this first year, I feel incredibly blessed. I've learned so much, met wonderful people, built relationships, and continued to grow in ways I couldn't have imagined when I first started.
Has everything been easy? Absolutely not! π Being a small business owner is a learning experience every single day. But I'm grateful that I get to do work that matters to me and serve families who deserve support.
I'm excited to see what God has in store for year two! π
Thank you to everyone who has supported, encouraged, referred, shared a post, left a review, or simply cheered me on. You are part of this journey, and it means more than you know. π₯Ή
Here's to another year of making a difference, one family at a time!
