If you’ve ever seen a calm, brilliant, science‑loving superhero sprinting toward a crisis with a smile… that was probably Steffani, one of our amazing Crisis nurses in Patient Logistics. She’s been part of the OSF St. Joseph family for about 9 years, and trust us we’re better for it.

Steffani chose health care because she genuinely loves understanding how the body works and how interventions, medications, and technology all come together to help patients heal. Her role blends critical‑care know‑how with teaching, which is basically her sweet spot.

When she’s not saving the day inside the hospital, Steffani is out traveling, hiking, running, reading, and chasing sunshine. She’s also a talented travel photographer, especially when wildflowers or wildlife are involved — though she jokes she needs a bigger zoom lens to reach her final form.

Her favorite advice?
ā€œYou can always make more money, but you cannot get more time.ā€
It’s her reminder to live fully, collect experiences, and not wait to do the things that make life meaningful.

And here’s a fun fact that fits her adventurous spirit: Steffani has visited nine countries so far… with plans to add up to five more in the next year and a half. Passport, prepare yourself.

Help us celebrate Steffani for the heart, curiosity, and courage she brings to OSF St. Joseph every day. We’re so grateful for her.

Every day, our RNs bring skill, compassion, and calm confidence to the moments that matter most. They’re the steady hands, the reassuring voices, and the advocates who make exceptional care feel personal.

Because of them, patients don’t just receive care here — they choose to come here. Families trust us. Communities rely on us. And people across central Illinois know they can find world‑class care.

To every RN who lifts our Mission, strengthens our community, and makes OSF St. Joseph the place people turn to first — thank you. You are the reason we’re a destination. 🌟

🧵 A few years ago, quilter Joanie Li had the sweetest idea — to rent a conference room at our OSF Medical Group – Fort Jesse location, gather her friends, and spend time each month making quilts for patients at the OSF Cancer Center in Bloomington.

What began as a simple act of love has become a beautiful tradition, wrapping so many patients in comfort, warmth, and hope.

šŸ’— We are so grateful for these quilt angels and all they do.
