We are thrilled to announce that two of our outstanding leaders have been appointed to the School Nutrition Association of Ohio board. Beginning August 1st, Liz, our Child Nutrition and Wellness Director, will step into the role of Resolutions & Bylaws Chair. Additionally, Mikaela, our Child Nutrition Field Supervisor, will serve as the South Regional Director and the Lead Regional Director on the Executive Committee. We are incredibly proud to have them representing Sycamore Community Schools at the state level!

Last week, our Assistant Superintendent, Brad Lovell, had the honor of kicking off the School Nutrition Association of Ohio Annual Conference. In his opening presentation, Brad tackled the tough moments 'When the Conversation Gets Hot," providing school nutrition professionals from across the state with invaluable strategies for navigating difficult conversations. His message emphasized that speaking the truth clearly, while always leading with grace, is the ultimate key to keeping a kitchen running smoothly and keeping teams united. We are so proud to see our leadership sharing such impactful insight on a statewide stage!

Exciting new menu item for next year! We recently sampled our new Chicken and Vegetable Dumplings to get feedback from our students and we are super excited to share that this new item will be on the E.H. Greene Intermediate and Junior High School lunch menu next year! These delicious dumplings come paired with a savory pineapple soy dumpling sauce, along with students choice of additional dipping sauces to customize their meal. They pair well with fruits and vegetables to create a healthy, balanced lunch. Thank you to all the students who stopped by to try it!

Big news! We are incredibly proud to announce that our Junior High Kitchen also received the Clean Kitchen Award! This recognition is a direct result of the dedication and hard work of our phenomenal cafeteria staff. Every day, they work to provide an environment that meets the highest standards of safety and cleanliness! Congrats!
