What a heartwarming week for our memory care residents! On Wednesday, we were delighted to have Whitney from Appalachian Hospice join us with some delicious treats—ice cream, chocolate syrup, yogurt, fresh blueberries, and watermelon were a hit! Our residents also enjoyed engaging in word searches, crossword puzzles, and spelling games, proving that keeping the mind active can be so much fun.

The Grandbaby Project brought joy as usual, with our residents relishing those sweet baby cuddles. And to top it all off, we took scenic ride through town and along the lake, soaking in the stunning views of the water and mountains. It's moments like these that remind us how enriching each day can be. Here’s to more joyful experiences ahead!

Today, we had the wonderful opportunity to welcome Pastor Scott for our weekly Bible study with our memory care residents. The topic of discussion was "Renewal of Your Mind," a theme that resonates deeply in both scripture and daily life.

We explored powerful verses such as Romans 12:2, which encourages us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, and Isaiah 41:10, reminding us not to fear, for God is with us. The verses from Philippians 4:4-7 offered comforting guidance on finding peace through prayer and supplication, while Psalms 34:4 reassured us that God hears our cries for help.

We also reflected on the hope we find in Romans 8:28 and the strength that comes from Joshua 1:9, inspiring us to be courageous and trusting in God's plan. Proverbs 3:5-6 encouraged us to lean not on our own understanding, while Romans 15:13 filled our hearts with joy and peace in believing. Lastly, Psalms 94:18-19 reminded us that even in our moments of struggle, God is our support.

It's always uplifting to see the residents engaging with these profound teachings and connecting with each other through faith and encouragement. Here's to renewing our minds and spirits together!

Thank you Pastor Scott for bringing the message and all you do for our residents and staff.

This September, Phoenix Senior Living communities are coming together for a special PSL Pays It Forward project in partnership with Atlanta Mission—and we’re inviting our families, friends, associates and community partners to join us!
Throughout the month, we’re hosting a Refurnish Project Drive benefiting My Sister’s House, Atlanta Mission’s shelter serving women and children as they work toward stability, independence and a fresh start.

Using the QR code on the attached flyer, you can purchase items from our curated wish list to help us refresh and renovate living spaces at My Sister’s House.

Even better? Every item purchased will be shipped directly to Atlanta Mission, and in October, members of the PSL Home Office team will roll up their sleeves and personally help install the items and transform these spaces.

At Phoenix Senior Living, we believe a safe, welcoming space can be an important part of beginning again—and together, we have an opportunity to create just that.

If you feel called to support this project, scan the QR code on the flyer to shop the wish list and help us make a house feel a little more like home. ❤️

Today, we were thrilled to have Whitney Purkey from Appalachian Hospice swing by for her weekly treat visit! She brightened our day by bringing delicious yogurt, juicy watermelon, fresh blueberries, and the ultimate treat—vanilla ice cream drizzled with rich chocolate syrup. 🍦🍉🥭

The love didn't stop there! Whitney also brought along Lynn Cochran to sprinkle in even more warmth and care. It’s moments like these that remind us of the incredible support and kindness that shines through in our community. Thank you, Whitney and Lynn, for making our day so special! 💖✨

Today was a truly uplifting day as Pastor Scott led a meaningful Bible study with our memory care residents. We delved into Matthew 22:37 and Deuteronomy 28:1-6, which remind us of the deep love and commitment we should have in our hearts, and the blessings that come from living in alignment with God's teachings.

The phrase "prosperity means nothing broken and nothing missing" resonated with everyone, highlighting the importance of wholeness in our lives. It’s a beautiful reminder that true prosperity is not just about material wealth but about peace, joy, and a strong community. It was a blessing to see the smiles and hear the reflections from our residents as they connected with these powerful messages. Grateful for these moments of connection and spiritual growth!

Thank you Pastor Scott for bringing the word to our precious residents every Tuesday afternoon.
