Electrical stimulation (ESTIM) is very beneficial for post surgical patients!

ESTIM helps by stimulating muscles and enhancing blood flow to help improve the recovery and return to functional activities faster.

Inactivity following surgery leads to atrophy of muscle groups and weakness settles in quickly. ESTIM will help stimulate the muscle to contract, this is especially beneficial to maintain strength during periods of immobility.

Muscle activation can become difficult to properly activate following surgeries. ESTIM can also help reinforce movement patterns to muscles having difficulty ‘waking up’ following surgery. When we help with correct movement patterns it is shown to help improve rehab efficiency.

Injury is always a risk we have when participating in sports and is unfortunate when it occurs. The recovery process is a non-linear journey that requires patience, mental toughness, and self compassion. Reframe your recovery as a chance to grow stronger, not just physically, but mentally as well.

Injury doesn’t stop progress, it just changes the path. This patient turned his setback into a major comeback to help his return to football. 🏈 Practice how you would play and continue to push and train yourself like the athlete you want to become! Ever feel like you have a ‘knot’ that just won’t release?

We can develop trigger points in our muscle due to several reasons including stress, overuse, and poor posture. Trigger points are the ‘knots’ we feel causing localized pain and stiffness to our muscles and fascia.

Dry needling is a highly effective treatment targeting specific trigger points using a thin sterile monofilament needle that is inserted to relieve muscle tension, increase blood flow, and reduce pain levels.

Dry needling can be especially helpful for people experiencing:
-chronic neck tightness
-high levels of stress
-limited range of motion
-chronic headaches and migraines
-shoulder and neck pain from a desk job
-many more reasons!

Welcome to our new therapists at All In at our Blue Springs clinic!

Liz, DPT, AT: Raised in New York and earned her BS in athletic training at UConn. Liz received her masters degree from Northwest Missouri State and then took on the role of head athletic trainer for the football team in 2017. Returned to school to earn her DPT in 2025. Liz enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and dog.

Mary Beth, PTA: A graduate from Blue Springs HS where she competed as a swimmer. After returning from California, she decided to get her degree in PTA and has been practicing for 2 years now. Mary Beth still enjoys swimming and spending time on the lake with her family.

Julian, DPT: Grew up in Grain Valley and attended University of Columbia, MO to complete his bachelors in health science with a minor in psychology. He attended Rockhurst for his DPT and plans to make an impact with each patient he can help. Julian enjoys traveling, hiking, and trying new foods.
