Hi there. Just a reminder we are over here in Blue Springs, MO supplying some fabulous counseling therapy services.

I’m on the left. I see people ages 15 and up two days a week. I am private pay.

Amanda Twombly, LPC is the tall gal in the middle. She works several days a week and sees kids and adults. The best way to contact her is [email protected]. She does her own scheduling.

Jessi Johnson, LPC is on the right. She sees adult people several days a week. She takes insurance and private pay. I do Jessi’s scheduling as well as my own.

You can always call our office at 816-653-2297.

I always say “we all need some counseling in our lives”.

Post traumatic growth is done by having to move through your trauma. When that is done, you have an increased capacity for empathy and the ability to manage your life better.

It’s so hard to sit with difficult feelings. When we work through those hard feelings vs. using something to numb them, that is where the healing comes. This then allows you to show up for others with your best self.

Do the work through therapy, movement (exercise, yoga, etc..), art, journaling. It all does wonders to connect your mind and body!

I learn from my clients a lot.
Here is a resource I did not know about that I wanted to pass on.
It’s online pay-as-you-are-able peer support groups.

My client has attended one fairly regularly on trauma and it has been helpful and good space for him.
I, personally, cannot give a review. I just think it’s great to have lots of tools to help ourselves and others.

What lies are you telling yourself that keeps you stuck?

I saw MY therapist yesterday. And he said something I wanted to share with you all:

“Knowing is becoming aware of something.
Realizing is the acceptance of it.”

It’s the knowing of something that can cause so much anxiety and turmoil and the feeling of having no control. However, when you realize something is true and are able to accept that it is true, it’s then the healing and doing/being better occurs.
