Carlos L. Bradshaw of Bluefield, VA passed away peacefully at his home on August 22, 2026. Bo, as he preferred to be called, was born December 3, 1946 to the late Harry V. Bradshaw and Oneida Hopkins Bradshaw.
Bo spent most of his life in Bluefield. He enjoyed playing baseball under the direction of Mr. Robert Hamilton and became quite good at it. Bo spent his educational years attending Tazewell County High school from the first through twelfth grades, graduating in 1965, the last class to graduate before integration. After graduation, Bo worked at Betsy Ross bakery, later moving to Detroit, MI until he was drafted into the US Army. After his discharge, he returned to Bluefield, working for Consolidated Coal, the city if Bluefield, WV and the town of Bluefield, VA.
Left to cherish his memories are Melva Brooks, Bluefield, WV, sons Carlos L. Bradshaw (Andrea) Winston Salem, NC, Travis Todd Bradshaw, Roanoke, VA, and (Lt.) Rexford Bradshaw (Valeah], Bluefield, VA. Sister, Leisa Bradshaw, (George) Winston Salem, NC, five grandchildren, Shaquana, Carliyah, Landon, Sophia, Caleb, Kacie, and Kane; and six great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, Roxanne Steele, Karen Davenport, and a host of other family and friends.
We will miss your light, your love and your laughter.
The family will receive friends at Mercer Funeral Home on Friday, August 28, 20026 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
