Have you heard of Minimal.Monster and the owner, Christmas?
Christmas is on a one-woman mission to democratize self-care + wellness and she will be speaking at our next meeting on August 13 at Ochsner Novant Health 65 Plus. Her talk is called “Self-Care is not luxury, it is a divine responsibility."
Christmas is one of our newer members and comes to us from a counter-terrorism and law enforcement background. Having traveled the world helping to stop bad actors hurting good people, Christmas was hurt during this time and ended up breaking her back back in 2001. She walked around with that same broken back for 20 years before finally being able to have a much needed surgery. She spent all of 2021 learning how to walk again and realized that Western Medicine was great for acute care but left much to be desired in after care. So she became certified in Ayurveda, Meditation, Pranayama (BreathWork), trauma-informed yoga therapist (for people who have a hard time moving, like her) and is also a national board certified Health & Wellness Coach.
Christmas has over 20 years of aiding, mentoring and assisting law enforcement, veterans and active duty service members reset their lives by helping them get their career documents and interview skills on point. She’s now expanding her services to civilians to help everyone regain task, purpose and motivation, caring for their specific physical, mental and spiritual goals, through her company tagline “Whole-Person Care.”
Many people have never heard of Health & Wellness Coaches and often conflate them with advice givers. Christmas likes to call her coaching, “UnTherapy” where patients have remarked how they’ve gotten more out of 2 coaching sessions with Christmas than 2 years of therapy. She helps all people ages 7 and up recover their lives from calamity, loss, addiction, grief, clutter and overwhelm. Let’s see if she can deliver the goods on August 13th!
