A 1979 graduate of Blytheville High School, Linda Gail confessed her hope in Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Moriah Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Roy Lumpkin. She later served under Pastor Dr. Bobby Patterson. Linda Gail was a faithful member of the adult choir, The Sisterhood, and, most notably, the Usher Board, where she served dutifully until her passing. She retired from MCAEOC Wiley Head Start Center after many years of dedicated service, but her most cherished role was being a loving and kind babysitter to her nieces and nephews, who saw her as a second mother. Deeply devoted to God and family, Linda Gail also had a strong passion for wrestling and enjoyed watching it often. The community knew her as caring, loving, and giving, and she was loved by many.

Linda Gail departed this life on July 14, 2026, at St. Bernard Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Vennie Davis; her grandparents, Issac and Beauty Carpenter, Willie and Ethel Davis, and Ellen Randle Davis; three brothers, Willie James Davis, Joseph Davis Carpenter, and Terry Wayne Davis; one nephew, Charles Tobias Nolden; and one niece, Toshika Danielle Wheeler.

She leaves to cherish her memory two brothers, Bishop Roy (Lisa) Davis of Memphis, Tennessee; and Sammy (Willia) Davis, of Southaven, Mississippi; eight sisters, Ellen (Bishop ML) Smith of Gosnell, Arkansas, Billie Brown, Jeanette (Charles) Nolden, Peggy (Dexter) Anderson, and Vernice Campbell, all of Blytheville, Arkansas; Bobbie (Superintendent Jonathan) Platt of Wichita, Kansas; Martha (Ronnie) Thomas of Memphis, Tennessee, and Debra (Reed) Wheeler of Hannibal, Missouri; three uncles, Jessie Carpenter, Charles Davis, and George Davis; three aunts, Ella Sandifer, Jackie Davis, and Evon Davis; a stepsister, Irene Jones, and stepbrother, George Jones, both of Blytheville, Arkansas; three special friends, Wanda Garner, Leola Jackson, and Virginia Brown; 122 nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 24, 2026, from 5:00pm until 7:00 pm at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 920 South Lake Street, Blytheville, AR where Dr. Bobby Patterson is the pastor.

Celebration of Life Services are scheduled for Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 11:00 am. Bishop Roy Davis, pastor of Princetown Avenue Baptist Church, Memphis, Tennessee will deliver the eulogy, with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
