Resident of the Month Robert Clewell is known for his willingness to assist others; a quality he developed under the extreme circumstances of military conflict. Born in Lima, Ohio, Robert entered the military service in 1960. After two tours in West Germany with the Fifth Corps Tactical Unit, he went on to serve three tours in Vietnam, where he accumulated 2,300 hours of combat time and earned 51 air medals, including the Silver Star. A reconnaissance airplane pilot, Robert was appointed as commander of Alpha Company 101st Aviation Regiment. “In the military, we depended on each other,” he stressed. During his years at Continuing Healthcare of Boardman, Robert has gained wide respect for his courteous and helpful attitude towards staff members and residents alike.
