Face & neck lift surgery is truly an art and a labor of love ✨

This beautiful patient in her 40s was bothered by jowling, neck fullness, and skin laxity. Now 3 months after surgery, she is thrilled with her result and was kind enough to allow us to share her beautiful transformation.

We turned back the clock while preserving a natural appearance, revealing a beautifully sculpted neck contour and enhanced jawline definition.

Achieving this result requires careful release of the facial retaining ligaments, followed by lifting and repositioning of the deeper fascial layers of the face and neck (SMAS and platysma). We also sculpted the superficial and deep structures of the neck - often referred to as a “deep neck lift” - to reduce unwanted fullness and create a more refined contour.

Upper ✨

This beautiful patient in her 40s is looking fantastic at only 6 weeks after surgery.

While upper blepharoplasty may seem simple, achieving a refined and elegant result requires careful attention to the smallest details.

Note the beautiful, crisp, and youthful arc of her upper lid crease, the enhanced eyelid show (pretarsal space), and the reduction in fullness along the inner aspect of her upper lids.

She still has some mild swelling, and her result will continue to refine over the next few weeks 👌

The best facelift scars are the ones you don’t notice.

A well-concealed facelift scar depends on more than simply how the incision heals. Thoughtful incision placement, meticulous closure, and preservation of the natural anatomy of the ear and lateral cheek are all essential to creating a result that looks natural.

Facial Thread-lifts 🚫👎

Don’t do it!

Their effect is short-lived at best, but the potential complications can be permanent.

They do not work because, unlike in a Face & Necklift, the tissue layers are not released nor properly suspended. Thread-lifts quickly pull through the tissues and leave behind scar (they do not “build collagen”). These can complicate future surgery and can also result in infection and damage facial nerves.

6-month update on this beautiful patient in her early 40s following a lower face and neck lift, upper blepharoplasty, facial fat grafting, and buccal fat reduction.

The goal was never to change her appearance, but to restore youthful facial balance while preserving her natural identity. Her jawline and neck contour are more defined, and the midface has been rejuvenated through repositioning of the malar fat pad, restoring a softer, more youthful facial silhouette (see Slide 2 - note the high point of her cheek contour ✨)

Equally important are the details that often go unnoticed. Her scars have healed beautifully, the earlobes remain in a natural position, and the pretragal contour has been carefully reconstructed to help conceal the incisions.

Natural results are often defined as much by what isn’t seen as by what is.

✨ A subtle transformation can make a remarkable difference.

This patient’s refreshed, brighter appearance was achieved by combining a brow lift with an upper blepharoplasty - two procedures that complement each other beautifully.

The brow lift helped to:
• Restore a softer, more youthful, feminine brow contour
• Improve upper eyelid hooding
• Enhance brow symmetry

The upper blepharoplasty helped to:
• Further improve eyelid hooding
• Reveal a more elegant upper eyelid (eyeshadow) space
• Improve eyelid symmetry, particularly on the left side, which was naturally more hooded

One of my favorite parts of this result is shown in the last video: a close-up of her brow lift incisions. With meticulous planning and precise surgical technique, they have faded beautifully and are now virtually imperceptible.

A brow lift and upper blepharoplasty remain one of my favorite procedure combinations because they work synergistically. Together, they restore a more youthful and brighter appearance - not an operated look.

Facial rejuvenation isn’t about making someone look different. It’s about restoring youthful anatomy while preserving each patients unique features.

Do I “need” a facelift?

The short answer is no.

No one needs a facelift. However, it is often the most effective option for improving jowling, neck laxity, and jawline definition.

My job is to help patients understand their options, what each procedure can realistically achieve, and what is involved in the recovery process.

Deciding if—and when—a facelift is right for you is a very personal decision. There is no “perfect age” or universal timeline. The right time is when your concerns, goals, and comfort level align.

The most important step is having an honest conversation about what bothers you and exploring the options available to help you achieve your goals.
