Spin, play, and learn! With our weekly focus on Gross Motor Agility, we had some serious fun with activities this week!

Check out this one! By spinning on the spinner and acting out a fun role-play scenario ("taking her children to play"), our little champ is building crucial interpersonal awareness and pragmatic language skills while developing directed motor planning.

Movement + imagination = major growth!

Active learning in action: Kids use their bodies to hunt down letters, shapes, and animals on a giant mat. It’s a high-energy way to build vocabulary, boost focus, and master motor skills all at once.

Move, Groove, and Learn!

Looking for a fun way to build big muscles and big vocabulary? Check out this awesome Motor Circuit with Language Support activity!

In this action-packed activity, children get to put their bodies and minds to work at the same time. Here's how:
- Following fun directions like “jump inside!” or “stand outside!”
- Putting their thinking caps on to count and figure out "what number comes next?"
- Building total-body strength as they crawl through the tunnel and practice balance by rolling over the ball!

It’s a combination of verbal comprehension and gross-motor skills. Who knew growing stronger and smarter could be this much fun?!

🔴 Learning in Motion! 🔴

Who says learning about yourself has to be a seated activity?

In this demographic identification activity with motor engagement, we combine cognitive recognition with physical movement! The child throws a ball toward the correct answer on the wall based on the questions.

By integrating movement with personal recognition, we help children:

- Boost focus and engagement through active play
- Reinforce personal identity data (name, age, background)
- Develop gross motor skills and hand-eye coordination
- Movement-based learning makes therapy both fun and highly effective!

In this video, we show you how singing the ABCs with intentional pausing can help your little one practice expressive language! By leaving blanks in a familiar song, you create the perfect opportunity for them to jump in, fill in the missing letters, and take the lead.

Why try this?
Builds Confidence: Predictable routines make kids feel safe to try new words.

Promotes Turn-Taking: Turns a simple song into a two-way social interaction.

Supports Joint Attention: Encourages active engagement and connection.

Hit play to practice along with us, and let us know in the comments how your child did with the pauses!

Weekly Focus Topic: Social Communication and Pragmatic Skills
