Faulk Center for Counseling The Faulk Center for Counseling's mission is to promote emotional well-being Dr. Elizabeth H. Faulk, the first woman to receive a Ph.D.

in psychology from the University of Florida, established a successful private practice in Boca Raton. In 1970 she founded the Elizabeth H. Faulk Foundation, a nonprofit charitable foundation, with this objective: “to provide free and low-cost psychological and mental health consultation services to the needy.” In 1973 she established the Center for Group Counseling, the service arm of the Foundat

In 2013, to reflect its 40 years of growth and expansion of services beyond the group model, the “Center for Group Counseling” became known as the “Faulk Center for Counseling.” In doing so, the Board of Trustees took the opportunity to honor its founder, Dr. Elizabeth Faulk. The Center is located in Boca Raton on Boca Rio Road (south of Palmetto Park Road) in a custom-designed two-story, 16-sided building, which symbolizes the circle of group therapy. The Center provides counseling, therapy, and support to more than 1,000 clients each year.

Last Friday, we had the opportunity to host a networking event at Northern Trust in Boca Raton, where we had the honor of meeting Wendy! During our conversation, we learned that Wendy is former client of The Faulk Center, and she graciously allowed us to share a small part of her story.🩷
A few years ago, Wendy found herself going through a difficult time and turned to The Faulk Center for some extra support. For over two years, she received counseling at The Center and shared that she found an incredible sense of care, support and connection throughout her experience. Her favorite part of her time with us was the meaningful connection she was able to build with her clinician. 🦋
What made meeting Wendy even more special was learning that she was part of the Northern Trust team helping us set up for the event and she was an absolute rockstar! 🌟
It was truly a full-circle moment and we are so grateful to her for sharing a piece of her story with us. Moments like these are why we do what we do!🩷

Happy Sunday Faulk Family! ☀☺
Before the new week begins, take a moment to set an intention.
Instead of asking "How much can I accomplish?" try asking instead, "How do I want to care for myself this week?"
Maybe your intention is to slow down, ask for help, protect your peace, speak kindly to yourself, or make time for connection.
What is your intention for this next week ?

Happy Saturday ✨☺
Consider this your weekend reminder that rest is productive too!
A reset doesn't have to mean doing more. Sometimes it looks like putting your phone down, getting outside for a little while, or taking a guilt-free nap with no to-do list in sight!
Give yourself permission this weekend to slow down, recharge and simply be. Your mind and body deserve time to reset!💚
