Olive Branch offers individual and family counseling, and play therapy. We have offices in Boerne, Helotes and Brady Texas.

We offer in person and telehealth services. My name is Amy Hutchinson and I am the owner of Olive Branch Counseling and Training, PLLC. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Southwest Texas State University and in 1996 earned my lifetime certification as a teacher. My focus for over 15 years was working with special needs populations including students receiving s

pecial education as well as those identified for gifted and talented programs. More recently, in 2012, I completed my Master of Arts degree in Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio and am now a Licensed Professional Counselor. My career in education and the opportunity to work with students, teachers and parents has profoundly shaped me as a counselor and I am grateful for the experience. I have enjoyed helping many families facing changes such as divorce, and relocations as well as offering guidance to client’s that need support as they navigate the typical developmental adjustments that everyone experiences in their life. I truly believe in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship between counselor and client. It is the greatest tool to empower change and I am mindful to take special care of the relationship. I am an existentialist and believe in making meaning of one’s experiences. Some of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves are to heighten our own awareness, be authentic, and present in our own lives. Olive branch has grown over the years and we have two locations. One in Boerne and one in Helotes, Texas. We work with children ages 4 and older, as well as tweens, adolescents, teenagers and adults.

Sometimes the hardest seasons are the ones no one else can see. Amy provides warm, compassionate support for adults navigating a variety of concerns, including perinatal mental health, birth trauma, pregnancy loss, anxiety, PTSD, and experiences that can leave us struggling to feel like ourselves again. Amy is trained in EMDR and has specialized perinatal mental health training through Postpartum Support International. Amy is currently welcoming new clients, both in person at our Boerne office and through Telehealth, with appointments available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. WE ARE HIRING!

Olive Branch is a well established group practice with a wonderful reputation for serving the community in Boerne, Helotes and Brady Teas. We have 2 openings right now. One position will be in Helotes Texas and another in Boerne Texas. We have a constant flow of referrals and are ready to help fill another clinician's schedule with new clients. If you'd like some support in building a private practice caseload, while having the support of other clinicians for consultation right there with you, Olive Branch Counseling and Training just might be the right fit for you.

We are looking for a licensed LPC, LMFT, or LCSW with experience in mental health counseling. Associates are welcome to apply. We are looking to hire someone that would like 20 hours per week and is already on insurance panels or currently in the process of applying to insurance panels. Associates must be willing to participate in supervisory billing. Clinicians will be responsible for scheduling their own clients, treatment planning, providing therapy, administering assessments and documenting client progress. There are additional opportunities to run groups and present workshops and classes for extra income as part of the Olive Branch Counseling and Training team. Both teams have great synergy and we'd love to add 1-2 professional members to our offices located in Boerne and Helotes Texas. Any additional credentials, certifications and experience with play therapy, children, couples or unique niches are preferred due to the high number of children and families being served.
