As private care homes become more prevalent, we are hearing one question more and more often: “What sets Care Choice apart?”

We thought we would share this comparison for families who may be wondering which type of care is right for their loved one.

At Care Choice of Boerne, we believe the more quality resources available to our aging community, the better. Private care homes can be a wonderful option for some individuals, while others require the 24/7 licensed nursing care, therapy services, clinical resources and payment options available in a skilled nursing facility.

Our goal is not simply to tell families to choose us—it is to help them understand all their options so they can make an educated and confident decision.

Although Santa IS coming— unfortunately, cooler temperatures are taking their sweet time! 🎅☀️

While we count down the 20 Fridays until Christmas, Care Choice of Boerne wants to remind you of some tools to beat the Texas heat:

💧 Drink plenty of water
☀️ Limit outdoor activity during the hottest hours
👕 Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing
🧴 Use sunscreen
🚗 Never leave children, older adults, or pets in a parked vehicle
❤️ Check on elderly family members, friends, and neighbors

🍉 We had a melon of a good time celebrating National Watermelon Day yesterday! 😄

Nothing beats sweet watermelon, lots of smiles, and spending time together. Thank you to Jana, our amazing activities director, for making the day so much fun for our amazing residents.
