It’s really ok to use either term, they’re synonyms.

Focus on what’s actually needed to support children and adults with specific needs instead of policing common language.

After all, changing an adjective doesn’t change the diagnosis or level of care.

Calling all Medical Professionals and those who are married to, friends of, and neighbors with them. EACH WEEK we have volunteer clinicians who come to serve at camp, and as you can imagine, this is a pivotal part of serving the campers we love.

There has to better training for all school staff, therapy clinics, private therapists working with this population.
This is what Nolan’s Ranch seeks to address with on-site training under professional guidance so these incidents can be prevented.

A Cypress-Fairbanks ISD behavioral specialist has been charged after allegedly assaulting a non-verbal special needs student who later died from choking on food.

Existing buildings have been remodeled.
Welcome center will be built across the driveway from the house.
We’ll have a gated road that leads to the top of the property where the residential area will be built to allow 160 special needs adults to thrive among their peers in a unique environment.
