The TBI & NHTD Waiver Providers Alliance has been working with the Senate and Assembly to support legislation establishing a waitlist for the Nursing Home Transition and Diversion (NHTD) Waiver. A10403-A (Paulin) / S9573 (Rivera) would require the Department of Health to create regional waitlists for the NHTD Waiver—an important step toward stabilizing and strengthening New York State’s program for individuals with disabilities and seniors who want to remain in community-based settings.
The legislation has advanced, and the next step is to contact Governor Hochul TODAY to urge her to approve A10403-A (Paulin) / S9573 (Rivera). Attached is a template your agency may use to draft its letter. Please email letters to: Erin Kate Calicchia, Esq.
