What happens inside when you enter coherence?
This morning during meditation, I used my HeartMath emWave to track what was happening inside my body, and it was such a powerful reminder of how deeply our heart, brain, and breath are connected.
When you drop into a state of coherence, your heart rhythm begins to move in a smooth, steady wave. Your breath slows. Your nervous system shifts from fight-or-flight into a place of rest, repair, and healing. The oh so common whirling to-do list dissipates.
I felt (and still feeling):
Calm but present
A softening in my body
Emotions were less heightened
A sense of inner steadiness, grounded
Clarity returning
A quiet “yes” knowing I can do this
Meditation is so multifaceted. It isn’t just about connecting deeper with emotions or bringing in a calm feeling. It truly affects our physiology and for hours out of our day afterward. Coherence brings your body into balance so it can finally exhale. And this sensation persists long after the meditation ends.
I’m so grateful for HeartMath and their emWave device for giving us a graphical representation of how our mind and body connect. HeartMath Institute offers a way to witness that shift in real time. It’s such a supportive tool for reconnecting with your heart and taking it past faith that this slowing down/meditative process IS SHIFTING us!
Thank you also to Tami Reed for providing the incredible healing tones I listened too this morning!
This is something I use with patients often. If you're curious and want to come play, reach out. Let’s get you scheduled so I can show you how much your body can shift, empowering you to continue on your healing journey with more ease, awareness, and trust in your system.
