The art of midwifery is never lost on me. I feel powerfully called to this work, to witness the truest physical power layered with vulnerability and surrender. To be invited into this space of transformation and longing and not be forever changed is impossible. The last few years have stretched me as a midwife, a mother, a wife, a friend, but I have also had the immense honor of growing and transforming myself because of this work.
So, while I’m not on social media often, I do want to take the opportunity to wish my fellow midwives a happy International Day of the Midwife! 🌼
To the ones who drop everything in a moment’s notice, the ones that stay up all night and work all day, the ones who fiercely protect the physiology of birth, who witness and support transformation with both strength and tenderness, the midwives who laugh, and cry, and carry so much wisdom… Thank you for all that you do! You are not invisible and your work matters more than words can say. Thank you for all that you do!
