The school year is starting, and for a lot of teens that can bring challenges they do not always talk about.

Intermountain Hospital offers programs for young people who need structured support. For teens ages 13 to 17 who need a more flexible option, we’re now offering online therapy through Talkspace –with licensed therapists who specialize in working with teens. No commuting to appointments, and you can message your provider between sessions.

If you are a parent unsure of where to start, start with a conversation. Then let us help with the next step.

Big news for mental health care in Idaho and across the nation.

Intermountain Hospital is proud to now be affiliated with Talkspace, a leading virtual therapy and psychiatry provider.

What this means: the care you receive at Intermountain Hospital is now connected to online therapy, psychiatry and medication management services that people can access from home, in all 50 states, covered by most major insurance plans. Whether someone is looking for support for the first time or continuing care after treatment with us, there is now a clearer path.

Not sure whether inpatient or outpatient care is right for you?

Understanding your options can make a big difference. Inpatient care offers 24/7 support in a structured setting, often best for more severe needs. Outpatient care allows you to live at home while attending scheduled sessions, offering flexibility for everyday responsibilities.

The right choice depends on your unique situation—but both paths share the same goal: helping you heal and improve your quality of life. Read more in our blog: https://bit.ly/3PXR0yp

When teens pull away or react strongly, it can be hard to know what’s normal. Adolescence brings major changes in the brain that make emotions intense and unpredictable. Supporting a teen’s mental health starts with staying connected and walking alongside them through it.
