🧠 FAQ Friday: "How Do I Know If My Symptoms Are Stress or Something Else?"
Stress can affect both your mind and body. While headaches, fatigue, stomach issues, and trouble sleeping are often linked to stress, they can also be signs of an underlying medical condition.
Common symptoms that may be related to stress include:
• Frequent headaches or muscle tension
• Ongoing fatigue or low energy
• Stomach pain, nausea, or digestive changes
• Trouble falling asleep or staying asleep
• Difficulty concentrating or feeling overwhelmed
🩺 It’s time to talk with a healthcare provider if your symptoms:
• Last for several weeks or continue getting worse
• Interfere with your daily life or sleep
• Are accompanied by fever, chest pain, weight loss, severe pain, or other concerning symptoms
• Don't improve despite reducing stress and practicing healthy habits
💜 You don't have to guess whether your symptoms are "just stress." A conversation with your provider can help determine what's causing them and whether additional evaluation is needed.
