One year ago, we opened the doors to this building. August 11th is a day worth celebrating twice, because it was also my grandmother Sue’s birthday. Sue was a pioneer, a master’s prepared nurse, and watching her I learned early that a woman deserves to be listened to, not rushed.
A year in, we are proud of what we have built. A practice where women are truly heard, where we care for the whole woman, body and mind, and where our providers have the time each woman’s care actually requires. That is deliberate, and it is not something we intend to trade away.
I do not do this alone. Every provider and team member here brings the same care and commitment to the women we serve.
To every woman across Idaho and Montana who trusted us this year, thank you. We are just getting started.

Over the last two and a half years, Illumination Women’s Health has grown into something that fills me with gratitude every single day.

Together, Rebekah and I have built a practice centered on evidence-based women’s healthcare, where women are known, heard, and cared for through every season of life. From preventive care and menopause management to complex gynecology and women’s mental health, we’ve built a comprehensive practice designed to care for women at every stage of life.

Today, I’m incredibly excited to share the next chapter.

This October, Dr. Keenan, a board-certified OBGYN, will be joining Illumination Women’s Health to provide gynecologic and surgical care.

Rebekah and I have had the privilege of working alongside Dr. Keenan for years before Illumination was ever a dream. We know her not only as an exceptional physician and gifted surgeon, but as someone who leads with humility, compassion, and genuine respect for her patients and colleagues.

What makes this announcement so meaningful isn’t simply that Dr. Keenan is joining our team. It’s that someone we know, trust, and deeply respect believes in the vision we’ve worked so hard to build. She’s joining to help us expand what we can offer while preserving everything that already makes Illumination special.

To every woman who has trusted us with your care, encouraged us, and shared our practice with others, thank you. You are the reason this next chapter is possible. Rebekah Fayette Karissa Hughes Keenan

Getting to spend time together with the people who make Illumination Women’s Health what it is, along with the families who support them, made for an amazing evening.

Every day they show up with compassion, dedication, and hearts that truly care for our patients and each other. I feel incredibly blessed to work alongside this group.

So thankful for this team and the culture we’re building together. 💜 Rebekah Fayette Jamie Talia🌻 Brandi Brown Griffin Karissa Hughes Keenan Kandiss Inman

For years, women with PCOS have said the name never fully fit their experience.

Now, the medical community is starting to agree.

An international panel of experts is proposing changing the name from “Polycystic O***y Syndrome” to:

PMOS — Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome

Because this condition has never been just about ovaries.

It can affect:
• insulin resistance
• weight regulation
• inflammation
• mental health
• fertility
• cardiovascular risk
• skin and hair changes
• long-term metabolic health

And many patients diagnosed with PCOS don’t actually have ovarian cysts at all.

This shift matters because language shapes how conditions are understood, researched, diagnosed, and treated.

Women deserve care that looks beyond symptoms and addresses the full picture.

At Illumination Women’s Health, we remain committed to evidence-based, whole-person care — and to staying current as the science evolves.

She gives comfort.
She gives strength.
She gives love, even on the hardest days.

Today we celebrate the women whose hearts shape families, homes, and generations.

To every mother and every woman walking her own unique journey — we see you, we honor you, and we celebrate you.

During National Nurses Week, we want to recognize and celebrate the two nurse practitioners who lead Illumination Women’s Health with compassion, clinical excellence, and a deep commitment to women’s health.

As nurse practitioners, we are honored to build meaningful relationships with our patients, provide evidence-based care, and create a space where women feel heard, respected, and empowered through every stage of life.

In recognition of National Nurses Week, we also extend our gratitude to nurses and nurse practitioners everywhere whose dedication, advocacy, and leadership continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and communities every day. 💙

Maybe it’s not burnout.
Maybe it’s perimenopause.

A major new FIGO report published in May 2026 is finally validating what many women have been told to “push through” for years:

Perimenopause and menopause can significantly affect mental health.

Not just hot flashes.
Not just aging.

We’re talking about:
• Anxiety
• Brain fog
• Sleep disruption
• Irritability
• Mood changes
• Feeling unlike yourself

The new FIGO Best Practice Recommendations emphasize that these symptoms are common, often overlooked, and deserve evidence-based care and earlier recognition.

Hormones affect the brain too.

Women deserve providers who look at the whole picture — not just isolated symptoms.
