🚨 YOUR CHILD WON’T NECESSARILY GROW OUT OF IT. AND WAITING COULD BE MAKING THINGS WORSE.

“Just ignore it.”
“They’re going through a phase.”
“You’re making too big a deal out of it.”

Meanwhile, your child is exploding, hitting, defying you, or turning your home into a place where everyone walks on eggshells.

And you’re supposed to just WAIT?

Here’s the truth: Some behaviors are developmental. But persistent, escalating behaviors don’t magically disappear just because your child gets older.

What they practice, they can get better at. And what they struggle with, they may need help learning to change.

You don’t have to panic. But you don’t have to dismiss it, either.

Today was HARD.

I’m in another country helping a family, and today felt like one battle after another. The kids had joined forces, and every adult was suddenly the enemy. 😂😭

Think Lord of the Flies, but make it a very chaotic family in a house.

I believe in this work. I know this program works. But believing in what you do doesn’t mean the hard days suddenly become easy.

By the time I got back to where I’m staying, I needed a walk. So I took the path to the beach, talked to the Lord, prayed, and maybe cried a little.

I needed that reminder that I don’t have to solve everything today. I just have to keep showing up and do the next right thing.

And then something beautiful happened.

When I got back, the parents texted me. For the first time in years, they were PLAYING UNO TOGETHER.

Together.

After a day that felt like complete chaos, there was a little connection.

Was everything fixed? Of course not.

But this is why I do this work.

We’re not trying to win battles with kids. We’re working to restore relationships, rebuild connection, and help families find their way back to each other.

Sometimes you need a parenting strategy.

Sometimes you need a beach.

And sometimes you need both. 🌊💙

I came all the way to another country to help an adoptive family.

But the real reason I do this work has nothing to do with where they live.

It’s because I’ve seen what happens when parents are scared, exhausted, and running out of options.

Your child’s behavior may have a story underneath it.

And understanding that story can change everything.

If you’re struggling right now, please don’t assume you’ve failed, or that there is no hope left.

Things can always get better. Always. ❤️
