Children are at the heart of our community. That’s why we are so grateful to the donors and community partners who support the Children at Risk Evaluation Services (CARES) Team at St. Luke’s Magic Valley. The team brings together medical professionals and other specialists to help identify and support children who may be experiencing abuse or neglect. ​

In September, the CARES Team gathered for its annual appreciation BBQ, joined by our partners from Chick-fil-A who came to show their support for this important work. ​

Happy International Credit Union Day to our incredible credit union partners!

Today, several credit union professionals from the Southwest Idaho Chapter of Credit Unions celebrated in the best way, by giving back to our local community. Together, they generously donated and assembled care kits for our pediatric patients.

Books, play and a little imagination can make a big difference for kids and families at St. Luke’s Children’s. Bring your favorite little bookworms from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at Barnes & Noble in Boise (1315 N. Milwaukee St.) for a day of play with a purpose.​

Participate in interactive booths with our Children’s Specialty Teams, get creative with hands-on activities, and jump into games for all ages. Plus, join us at 11 a.m. for a special story time led by one of our St. Luke’s Children’s clinicians.​

Every bit of fun helps support something bigger. Proceeds raised throughout the event will support St. Luke’s Children’s and the kids and families we serve. We can’t wait to see you!

Thank you, Westmark Credit Union, for hosting the 24th Annual Credit Unions for Kids Golf Tournament in support of St. Luke's Children's and Primary Children's Hospital! ⛳💙

Thanks to the incredible generosity of participants, sponsors, and supporters, the event raised more than $110,000 to help provide life-changing care for local children and families when they need it most.

One of the most meaningful moments of the day was the ceremonial first tee shot by two remarkable children, including St. Luke's Children's patient Blair.

As Blair's mom shared:
"The providers at St. Luke's played a significant role in our lives, and we have the utmost respect and appreciation for the care teams there. We will forever be grateful to them for helping Blair not just survive, but thrive. Today, he is gregarious, full of life, and doing wonderfully."

This day was about far more than golf. It was about hope, healing, and brighter futures for children across our community.

Six years ago, the St. Luke’s Foundation teamed up with Children’s Injury Prevention to launch a heartfelt mission of keeping kids safe while making safety fun.

Every fall, over 300 third graders in the Jerome School District gear up with a brand-new helmet, a swag bag full of goodies, and hands-on safety education.
It’s more than just gear, it’s confidence, awareness, and education for safe adventures.

“We are so grateful to St. Luke’s, the Jerome Rotary Club, and the Craig family for their generous donation of helmets and scooters for our third-grade students! Thank you for investing in our students and helping us create a safe, active, and caring school community. We RISE together!"

The best part of St. Luke’s Scramble for the Kids isn’t what happens on the golf course. It’s who we’re there for. 💜

This September, nearly 130 golfers came together and raised over $158,000 in support of St. Luke’s Children’s, helping bring specialized pediatric care closer to families throughout Idaho. Champions Lillian and Violet joined us this year, representing the kids and families at the heart of it all and reminding us just how much is possible when our community comes together.

A special thank you to everyone who made the day possible, from our golfers and sponsors to our volunteers and donors. We are so grateful for you!

And while the day was all about our champions, Lillian made sure to look the part, taking to the course in full princess attire and easily earning our vote for best dressed. 👑⛳

Car crashes are a leading cause of injury for children under 12. A properly installed car seat reduces the risk of injury up to 71 percent.

Child Passenger Safety Technicians from around the valley will be available to help improve the safety of our community’s children. Drive Up’s Welcome!
