The Zones of Regulation can be a simple program to teach emotional intelligence!
Learning the colors and different emotions within each color is the first step.
🔵 Blue = when your body is moving slow (tired, sick, sad, etc.)
🟢 Green = when your feel calm, happy, and you're moving 'just right'
🟡 Yellow = when your body is moving faster (silly, nervous, etc.)
🔴 Red = when you're feeling so angry that your body is out of control (or any other BIG body emotion)
No emotion is bad!
Then we start incorporating tools, strategies, and activities within each Zone to help when needed!
This is when trial and error comes in. Try different tools and see if they help. Try different activities and see how they make you feel. Sometimes you might need a tool to wake up, slow down, or feel safe.
Everyone's Zones tools are unique to them!
