In today’s audio, Dr. Rob breaks down one of the most common concerns we see in the office: knee pain — and why the cause isn’t always an obvious injury.
While some knee pain comes from trauma (like skiing accidents, running injuries, or direct impact), many patients experience knee pain without any specific injury at all. In those cases, the source is often tight or inflamed muscles and tendons around the knee — including the IT band, quadriceps, or even an inflamed bursa.
Dr. Rob explains:
✔️ Why lateral vs. medial knee pain feel different
✔️ How muscle tightness creates friction and inflammation
✔️ What you can safely try at home (icing, stretching, gentle heat)
✔️ When it’s time to seek professional care
If knee pain has been slowing you down — especially if it hasn’t improved after a week or two — it may be time to look deeper and address the root cause, not just the symptom.
