🧼 Does Your CPAP Need a Cleaning Routine?
Yes! A little regular care helps keep your equipment ready for bedtime. **Your machine and mask’s manufacturer instructions are the best place to start.**
Here are simple reminders:
😷 **Give your mask daily attention.**
Many silicone cushions need daily washing to remove facial oils and residue. Some foam cushions require a different approach—check your specific mask’s instructions before getting them wet.
💧 **Refresh your humidifier chamber.**
Empty leftover water daily, let the chamber dry, and refill with the water type recommended for your device. Follow its cleaning schedule.
🫧 **Remember tubing and headgear.**
Many manufacturers recommend weekly cleaning. Use the recommended cleaning products, rinse washable parts thoroughly, and allow them to air-dry.
🔍 **Check your filters.**
Replace disposable filters as directed. Only wash filters specifically labeled reusable and washable.
✅ **Inspect as you clean.**
Look for cracks, tears, worn cushions, or damaged connections. Cleaning doesn’t replace worn-out supplies!
Not sure what your equipment needs? Everything CPAP can help you build a simple routine for your specific mask and machine.
