Gr8ter

Gr8ter We Are Gr8ter. We believe in mental health recovery. We empower people to overcome mental health struggles in order to live the lives they desire.

Gr8ter empowers people affected by mental and emotional struggles to overcome the shame that may be holding them back so they can reach their full potential. For so many of us, a diagnosis or struggle can bring on feelings of hopelessness or that we can’t achieve what we really want. YOU deserve to have Gr8ter joy, Gr8ter relationships, and Gr8ter success. We believe that all people can reach thei

r full potential when they have the mindset, support and tools they need. At Gr8ter, you will find us, people just like you, who are not just striving, but thriving as we live, work, and play in spite of the labels put on us by the world. Here, you will see how you can do and be more than your highs and lows. Join us...and let’s become Gr8ter together!

Happy World Environment Day 💚

The trails give us so much — movement, connection, perspective, peace, and community. The least we can do is protect them in return. 🌲

A few simple choices can make a huge impact:
✨ Stay on the trail
✨ Leave no trace
✨ Respect wildlife and fellow hikers
✨ Pack out what you pack in

Taking care of our trails helps ensure these beautiful spaces are here for future generations to explore, heal, and connect in.

Let’s continue to love the outdoors well. 💚

Somewhere along the way, Gr8ter became more than a nonprofit.

It became a community.
A place where people show up for each other.
A place where conversations matter.
A place where healing, movement, and connection continue to bring people together.

None of this would exist without YOU.

Thank you for supporting our mission, showing up to events, sharing our posts, volunteering, donating, hiking, cheering people on, and helping create a community where people feel seen and supported.

We’re endlessly grateful for every person who has become part of this journey. 💚

WORLD BICYCLE DAY 🚴

Alright bikers… we want to know

WHO’S TAKING ON THE MOUNTAIN THIS YEAR?

Last year, due to the fires, we unfortunately had to cancel the biking portion of Top of Tamarack — and let’s just say… we’re ready to make up for it this year 😏

We want to see MORE bikes.
MORE riders.
MORE people pushing themselves up that mountain.

Because there’s nothing quite like earning that summit on two wheels 💚

Whether you’re riding for the challenge, the views, your mental health, or just because suffering sounds fun apparently 😂… we want you there.

Drop a 🚴 below if you’ll be on the mountain this year.

June is PTSD Awareness Month

PTSD doesn’t always look the way people expect it to.
Sometimes it looks like hyper-independence.
Isolation.
Anger.
Numbness.
Always being “fine.”

For many veterans, first responders, and trauma survivors, the battle doesn’t end once they come home.

According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, su***de rates among veterans remain significantly higher than the general population.

And that’s exactly why conversations like this matter.

PTSD is treatable.
Healing is possible.
And asking for help is not weakness.

Support can look like:
🤍 Therapy
🤍 Medication
🤍 Community connection
🤍 Movement & exercise
🤍 Peer support groups
🤍 Time outdoors and nervous system regulation

You do not have to carry it alone.

Mental health recovery doesn’t always look dramatic.

Sometimes it looks like:
🌿 Going for a walk
☀️ Getting out of bed
📱 Answering the text
💧 Drinking water
🫶 Asking for help

Small things still count.

What’s one small thing helping you lately? 💚

These are just a few of the items we included in our Sock Project boxes this year…

Thanks to amazing partners like Bombas, Poppy & Pout, and Mountain Madness Soap Co., we were able to create thoughtful kits filled with comfort and care. 💚

Somewhere along the way, this community became more than events and trails.

It became people showing up for each other.

Conversations in parking lots after hikes.

Encouragement on hard days.

Shared stories. Shared miles. Shared hope.

We’re really grateful for this community and everyone who continues to be part of it.
