Stay safe as temperatures climb this week.

Hot weather can lead to dehydration, heat exhaustion and heat stroke, especially for older adults, young children and people with chronic health conditions.

Here are a few simple ways to stay safe:
• Drink plenty of water, even if you don't feel thirsty.
• Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.
• Limit outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day.
• Take breaks in the shade or air conditioning.
• Check on family members, neighbors and pets.

Know the signs of heat-related illness and take action if you or someone else begins to feel sick.

We are excited to welcome Brett C. Neill, M.D., board certified dermatologist and Mohs and reconstructive surgeon, to the CMH Dermatology Clinic. He is board certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology and holds subspecialty certification in micrographic dermatologic surgery.

Dr. Neill performs advanced Mohs surgery to treat skin cancers, including basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma, as well as melanoma and other rare, complex skin cancers. He also offers skin cancer excision, cryosurgery and topical therapies for precancerous growths, along with full-body skin exams, biopsies and nail surgery. His practice includes treatment for common conditions such as acne, warts, psoriasis and eczema, as well as removal of benign lesions. In addition, he performs complex facial reconstruction and other advanced procedures to support both function and appearance.
