Stay safe as temperatures climb this week.

Hot weather can lead to dehydration, heat exhaustion and heat stroke, especially for older adults, young children and people with chronic health conditions.

Here are a few simple ways to stay safe:
• Drink plenty of water, even if you don't feel thirsty.
• Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.
• Limit outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day.
• Take breaks in the shade or air conditioning.
• Check on family members, neighbors and pets.

Know the signs of heat-related illness and take action if you or someone else begins to feel sick.

Today, on The Longest Day, we join individuals, families and communities across the country in the fight against Alzheimer's disease.

The Longest Day takes place on the summer solstice—the day with the most light—to symbolize hope and strength for those facing the challenges of Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.

At CMH Neurology and Headache Center and Missouri Memory Center, we recognize the patients, caregivers and loved ones impacted by memory loss. We honor their journeys and remain committed to providing compassionate care, support and resources.
