Citizens Memorial Hospital welcomes Christoffer Weber, M.D., to the CMH Orthopedic & Spine Center. Dr. Weber has cared for CMH patients as a visiting physician for many years and now joins the center's medical team.

With more than 30 years experience, Dr. Weber specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation, also known as physiatry. He diagnoses and treats conditions that affect movement and function following an injury, illness or surgery, with an emphasis on nonsurgical treatments that help reduce pain and improve function.

Stay safe as temperatures climb this week.

Hot weather can lead to dehydration, heat exhaustion and heat stroke, especially for older adults, young children and people with chronic health conditions.

Here are a few simple ways to stay safe:
• Drink plenty of water, even if you don't feel thirsty.
• Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.
• Limit outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day.
• Take breaks in the shade or air conditioning.
• Check on family members, neighbors and pets.

Know the signs of heat-related illness and take action if you or someone else begins to feel sick.
