There was a special shoutout to SWC Coordinator Margaret Pena and our Club for donating $375 and essential school supplies and food items to their Resource Center, ensuring their students have access to what they need.💙📚✨

🌟 Welcoming New Members! 🌟

One of our favorite moments at Sweetwater Woman’s Club is welcoming new members into our community! At our September General Meeting and Luncheon, we proudly announced four new members and celebrated the spirit of Rosie the Riveter. They were presented by their sponsors at the meeting.

We are so proud of the incredible women in our club, representing diverse backgrounds and experiences from all walks of life. Together, we embody the values of charity and empowerment together in our local community. Here’s to building connections with each other and making a positive impact! 💪❤️

🌟 Celebrating Community Impact!🌟

We’re thrilled to recognize these incredible Sweetwater Woman’s Club women - Mary Reynolds, Masami Jenkins and Robin Taylor - for their outstanding efforts in the Bunco Fundraiser this August! 🙌 They raised over $3,000 for the Victory Resource Center and the Greater San Diego Reading Association, making a significant difference in our community.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and contributed! It truly takes a village of hardworking women to create change - SWC women rock! 💪✨

🌟 Community Spotlight: One Safe Place in National City🌟

Sweetwater Woman’s Club donated several bags of women’s clothing to One Safe Place in National City. This incredible organization is dedicated to offering hope, healing, and justice to those in need.

One Safe Place provides no-cost support services all under one roof for individuals who have experienced:

- Child abuse
- Sexual assault
- Domestic violence
- Hate crimes
- Elder abuse
- Human trafficking
- Violent loss
- Family violence
- Other forms of victimization

Thank you Robin Taylor and Gloria Pickel for organizing the clothing drive and to Martha Hernandez who delivered the bags of clothing to One Safe Place. Together, we can make a difference in our community! 💖

We recently held our September Luncheon and General Meeting, celebrating the incredible legacy of Rosie the Riveter!🌟

Rosie represents the strength and determination of all women who entered the workforce during World War II, breaking barriers across all backgrounds. Her impact continues to inspire women today, reminding us of our collective power to create change and empowerment.

🌟 What a Wonderful General Meeting & Luncheon!🌟

We had an absolute blast at our Rosie the Riveter-themed gathering! Not only did we enjoy great company and delicious food, but we also made a significant impact by collecting over 70 bags of clothing during our clothes drive. Four 8’ tables were filled with bags.

A huge thank you to SWC and our dedicated Board Members, Robin Taylor and Gloria Pickel, for coordinating this fantastic initiative. Some of the donated clothes will be going to our local resource closets inside several high schools inside Sweetwater Union High School, helping our students in need right in our community. This includes Adrian’s Way at Sweetwater High School in National City.

Some are going to Southwestern College Resource Closet for students.

Together, we’re making a difference! 💪❤️
