🔗 YOUR BODY IS MORE CONNECTED THAN YOU THINK
Where you hurt isn’t always where the problem starts.
Think about your knee. It doesn’t move by itself. It works alongside your hips, ankles, feet, and core every time you walk, climb stairs, squat, or stand up from a chair.
Sometimes, weakness in the hips or limited mobility in the ankle can change how the knee moves and contribute to discomfort. The same idea can apply throughout the body.
That’s why physical therapy is about more than focusing only on the area that hurts. A physical therapist can evaluate how your entire body moves to identify factors that may be contributing to the problem.
Because treating the painful area may be helpful, but understanding why it became irritated can be an important part of helping you move and feel better.
