Ecologic Dentistry - The Natural Choice At Ecologic Dentistry, we consider the mouth to be the portal to the rest of our body and is where w A New Paradigm is upon us.

Our holistic approach supports your uniqueness as an individual within a unified Whole. At Ecologic Dentistry, we consider the mouth to be the portal to the rest of our body and the mouth is where wellness begins. Our body naturally works toward establishing balance or homeostasis. We support to our natural healing process by giving our body the ideal environment in which to heal itself by offering natural solutions and treatments that are minimally invasive and least toxic. Like the childhood song “... the hip bone is connected to the thigh bone...,” your teeth are connected to your entire body. In Chinese medicine, each tooth is related to a specific organ and/or system in our body. Even the tongue is used as a diagnostic tool, as it reflects patterns of disease and conditions throughout our body. One where Quantum Science brings understanding of Ancient Wisdom to our modern day community; where along with advances in technologies will transform our entire approach to medicine and our human experience. In Quantum understanding, everything is Energy. Everything has a vibration, a frequency, or resonance. There is one vast quantum field to which we are all connected. It is with this understanding of our inter-connectedness that Ecologic Dentistry has been created and it is within this understanding that we work with our patients.

Eight hours in bed and you still wake up tired.

You blame your age. Or stress. Or the mattress. But time in bed and real rest are not the same thing. When your breathing stops and starts through the night, your body never drops deep enough to repair itself. More hours will not fix that.

Part of the answer sits in your mouth. Dr. Yamashiro checks your jaw, your airway, and the wear on your teeth to see if something there is blocking your sleep. If the problem belongs with a sleep physician, she tells you and points you to one.

Call us at (253) 863-7005 and ask what a screening involves. What happens in your mouth shows up across your whole body, and we treat it that way.

Tip of the Day: Understand Your Treatment Plan Before You Decide

In Bonney Lake, WA, getting a dental treatment plan can sometimes leave you with more questions than answers. Why was this treatment recommended? Are there alternatives? How do the materials or procedures fit with your overall health? A virtual dental visit gives you an opportunity to have those questions answered before deciding what comes next.

At Ecologic Dentistry, Dr. Carla Yamashiro believes patients should understand the reasoning behind their care, not simply be told what they need. If you have a treatment plan and want a biological, holistic perspective before moving forward, schedule a virtual dental visit and get the clarity you need to make an informed decision.

In Bonney Lake, WA, teledentistry is giving patients another way to start a conversation about their dental health without immediately sitting in the dental chair. But what can a virtual dental visit actually accomplish, who is it best for, and when do you still need to be seen in person? At Ecologic Dentistry, Dr. Carla Yamashiro offers virtual consultations for patients who are physically located in Washington during their appointment. Whether you have questions about an existing treatment plan, want a biological perspective, or simply feel more comfortable starting from home, read our newest blog to learn whether teledentistry could be a good first step for you.

You wake up with a headache three or four mornings a week. You have checked the obvious things. Blood pressure, caffeine, stress, and maybe you have brought it up with your doctor by now. What nobody has done yet is look inside your mouth.

When a patient tells me about recurring morning headaches, I do not assume I know the cause. I look at the jaw, the airway, and the wear patterns on the teeth, and sometimes those tell us something worth exploring further. Sometimes they do not. Sometimes what I see means the right next step is a conversation with a sleep physician rather than anything dental.

The point is not to diagnose a headache from a dental chair. It is to make sure your mouth is not holding information nobody has looked at. If that is where you are, call our Bonney Lake office at (253) 863-7005 and ask whether this is worth looking into.
Your mouth is a reflection of your whole body, and we treat you accordingly.
