Jones Regional Cancer Center, consisting of medical oncology and radiation oncology, opened in 1993 on the Watauga Medical Center campus. The Cancer Center offers a multidisciplinary approach to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancers. Through advanced technology and a highly trained staff, the Center offers exceptional diagnostic and treatment procedures that include radiation, chemoth

erapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, prostate brachytherapy and hormonal treatments, including IMRT and IGRT. The Cancer Center also has an active focus on patient financial, clinical and psychosocial navigation by and expert clinical team.

Seby B Jones Infusion Center, Radiation, and Medical Oncology Clinic will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2026 🇺🇸

Congratulations to one of our infusion nurses for receiving a daisy award .

Patient shared how nervous she was the first time she came to the infusion center, however “Sallie greeted me with a warm smile on her face. She is so sweet and caring. Her clinical skills are excellent. Patient added, “If you arrive there sad you leave feeling so much better.”

Again, congratulations Sallie!

We’re celebrating our newest group of UNC Health Appalachian teammates who’ve officially earned their Medical Assistant certification! 🎉 Every single participant passed their exam last week—with a perfect 100% pass rate. Even more impressive? They accomplished this milestone while working full-time and completing 24 weeks of coursework. 👏🏻
