Freedom Farm Ministries

Freedom Farm Ministries The mission of Freedom Farm Ministries is to offer restoration through the transforming power of Jesus.

In September 2006, Freedom Farm Ministries began with three men in a recently renovated double-wide. Now Freedom Farm houses up to 45 men in six locations with three unique program phases. Freedom Farm is a non-profit 501(c)(3) ministry serving men by helping them grow in a life centered in Jesus Christ. Hundreds of men have already received that new life, and many have renewed health, renewed rep

utations and been reunited with family. Most importantly, these men have gained a new or restored faith through repentance and belief in our savior Jesus Christ.

We're excited to share August Updates:

👷 A milestone for our ministry: For the first time in Freedom Farm’s history, half of the men currently with us are gainfully employed in our community! We’re so thankful for the local businesses providing our men with good jobs and opportunities to keep moving forward.

🙏 Sabrina Register and Virginia Austin are both recovering well from their injuries and are back at work. Thank you for continuing to pray for them!

🌿 Another praise report: Our thrift store property has been approved for creek embankment repairs funded through our friends at Samaritan’s Purse. This will help secure the property and better protect our firewood inventory.

🪵 And speaking of firewood—it’s time to stock up for winter! If you need a delivery, give us a call at (828) 416-0135.

❤️ Most importantly, please pray for the Spirit’s continued work in the hearts of our men and staff. In the middle of all the work and busyness, we never want to forget that it is God who brings Gospel change and directs everything we do.

Looking back on last week's Fourth of July celebration, we're thankful for a good afternoon spent with friends, sharing a meal, enjoying fellowship, and making memories together.

As our nation marked its 250th birthday, it was a good reminder to reflect on the freedoms we've been blessed with—not only as Americans, but through the hope and new life we have in Christ.

We're thankful for days like these and the people God has placed in our lives.

☀️ June Updates: We have several prayer requests we'd love for you to remember this month:

▶️ Please pray for our faithful secretary, Sabrina Register, as she recovers from a recent hip replacement. She has been experiencing a great deal of pain during her recovery. Please also lift up her husband, Mike, as he cares for her through this healing process.

▶️ As we move closer to our campus expansion project, we're thankful that Danny Henley, a good friend of the ministry and former employee with a lifetime of construction experience, has agreed to serve on our board. Please pray for wisdom and unity as our board makes several important decisions in the weeks ahead.

▶️ Our property still has damage from Hurricane Helene that has gone unrepaired due to the cost. We recently applied for assistance through Samaritan's Purse, and they have been very willing to help us explore a solution. Please pray that everything comes together. Restoring this property would greatly improve one of the ministry's most active facilities and better equip us to serve those who come through our doors.

▶️ Finally, please continue praying for our staff and their families. This ministry is deeply rewarding, but it also comes with unique challenges and spiritual battles. We are grateful for your faithful prayers, encouragement, and support as we continue serving those seeking freedom in Christ.

Heavenly Father,

I ask You to bring Your light into my life. For too long I have walked in places that left me broken, weary, and far from You. Today, I look toward a new beginning.

Give me the courage to take this first step. When fear tells me to stay where I am, remind me that Your mercies are new every morning. Help me leave behind the things that have held me captive and trust You with the road ahead.

Renew my mind, soften my heart, and restore what addiction has damaged. Surround me with people who will help me walk in truth and point me toward Christ.

Thank You for the promise that no night lasts forever and that with You, a new day is always possible.

In Jesus' name,
Amen.

Happy Father's Day from all of us at Freedom Farm Ministries.

Today we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, mentors, and spiritual leaders who have faithfully invested in the lives of others. Your guidance, sacrifice, and love leave a lasting impact that reaches far beyond what you may ever see.

We also recognize that Father's Day can be difficult for many. Some are separated from their children, grieving the loss of a father, or carrying the weight of past mistakes. The good news of the Gospel is that God is a Father who restores, forgives, and makes all things new.

We are thankful for the men who continue pursuing Christ and rebuilding relationships one day at a time.

Change often begins long before anyone else can see it.

There are moments in recovery when a man is forced to slow down and take an honest look at his life. The distractions are gone. The excuses no longer work. What remains are the difficult questions about the past, the present, and the future.

Through God's Word, discipleship, and biblical counseling, men are encouraged to examine their hearts and discover that true freedom is found in Jesus Christ.

Please continue praying for the men in our program as they seek wisdom, healing, and a new direction for their lives.

Lamentations 3:22-25 • The prophet Jeremiah wrote these words in the middle of devastation. Jerusalem had fallen, the people were suffering, and the future seemed uncertain. Yet in the midst of grief, Jeremiah turned his attention to the character of God. He remembered that God's mercies had not failed and that His faithfulness remained unchanged.

For those walking the road of addiction recovery, there are days when the weight of past mistakes and present struggles feels overwhelming. Progress may seem slow, and setbacks can tempt us to lose hope. But God's mercy is not based on our performance. Every morning brings fresh grace for the challenges ahead.

Recovery is not sustained by our strength alone. It is sustained by patiently waiting on the Lord, trusting that He is good, faithful, and working even when we cannot yet see the outcome.
