💧 Your skin can’t drink your moisturizer.
I just came back from a walk in the sun looking HOT and red 😂☀️ and it reminded me of something I talk about with my clients all the time:
No amount of beautiful skin-care products can replace hydration from the inside.
In this reel, I’m sharing 3 signs of dehydrated skin to look for beyond redness:
✨ Fine lines that look more noticeable
✨ Tightness or that “pulled” feeling in the skin
✨ Dullness or lack of that healthy, bouncy look
And yes; there IS such a thing as drinking too much water. More isn’t always better. Your body needs balance, including appropriate electrolytes, and excessive water intake can be harmful.
💧 Want a simple starting point for your daily water intake?
A commonly used estimate is to take your body weight in pounds ÷ 2 = ounces of water per day.
For example, someone who weighs 160 lbs would start around 80 oz/day, then adjust based on activity, heat, sweating, and individual needs.
That’s a starting point, not a prescription. Your hydration needs are personal.
And if your skin is already dehydrated? That’s where I can help. 🤍
As a holistic esthetician, I can work with your skin topically to support hydration and your skin barrier while also encouraging you to look at what’s happening internally.
Because healthy skin care isn’t just about what you put ON your skin.
It’s also about what you’re giving your body.
💧 Skin care + hydration + lifestyle = a more balanced approach.
