New Jersey Firemen's Home The New Jersey Firemen’s Home was founded over a hundred years ago. The Firemen’s Home, on 85 acres in Boonton, also has a museum of fire-fighting memorabilia.

It is the only nursing home and residential-care facility dedicated to the state’s 77,000 active and retired firefighters. The home, administrated by the New Jersey Firemen’s Board of Managers, has served over 1,787 people since it opened and currently has 65 residents.

May is off to a festive start! 🚒🌮

We kicked off the month celebrating International Firefighters Day with a special visit from Sparky the Dog, bringing smiles and fire safety fun to everyone. Then we turned up the fiesta spirit for our Cinco de Mayo celebration with a Taco Tuesday-themed luncheon and a surprise visit from our very own Mariachi Bear! 🎉🐻🎶

And here’s a little sneak peek at today’s BBQ with the FMBA — another great day filled with good food, fun, and community spirit! 🍔☀️

Residents enjoyed a comforting dinner with chicken and rice casserole followed by apple pie à la mode for dessert. Nights like these are all about good food, great company, and making memories together.

April was one for the books! 🌸✨

We got creative with colorful Easter egg dyeing, enjoyed special visits from our very own Easter bunny 🐰, we were treated to a wonderful performance by the Morris Plains Community Band, Bergen County Firemen's Home Association came for their Bi-monthly event which is always a big hit, and we laughed along with a fantastic show from Call Us Clowns 🤡 that was filled with humor and joy. We then wrapped it all up by turning up the fun at our disco party 🕺💃—lights, music, and lots of smiles all around!

So many great moments, laughter, and memories made this month—we can’t wait to see what May brings! 💛

The past two days have been perfect for getting outside! ☀️ Our Resident Walking Club has been enjoying the fresh air, staying active, and keeping the momentum going. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ It’s been great to see everyone out, moving, and supporting one another.
