While we do not engage in politics, we are sad to hear about the passing of former Boonton Mayor, Councilman and stark supporter of our organization, Cy Wekilsky. Cy also was on our Board of Trustees and was an advocate for volunteers and for the mission of saving lives. He checked in on our crews during major weather events during his term as Mayor. He was present at many of our trainings, drills, meetings and gatherings. He was also known to put on a safety vest and help us with our coin toss fundraiser just outside of our building. He will be dearly missed. May he rest in peace.
