Studies are revealing the true health cost of polyester clothing — not only is it linked to infertility in both men and women (as a matter of fact - one study considered using it as birth control for men), but its also an endocrine disruptor and can reduce IVF success rates.

Polyester contains chemicals like phthalates and BPA that leach from the fabric, as well as physical properties like heat retention and electrostatic charge. These factors can interfere with hormone function, disrupt reproductive health, and affect s***m and egg quality. Wearing synthetic fibers, especially paired with tight fitting underwear, can increase exposure, particularly with heat and sweat.

CHEMICAL EXPOSURE:

📑Endocrine-disrupting chemicals - Polyester can contain chemicals like phthalates, BPA, and antimony, which are known endocrine disruptors that interfere with hormone function.

📑Mimics hormones: BPA can mimic estrogen, disrupting hormonal signaling, while phthalates have been linked to lower s***m counts and hormonal imbalances.

📑Other chemicals: Formaldehyde and certain dyes or finishing agents used in polyester can also act as endocrine disruptors.
